Why BlueWave
Site engineering for contractors in Dubai and Auckland, structural design and verification, then client side contract administration. I know where claims and quality problems start because I’ve seen them from each side.
Every assessment starts from the contract and the site record, not either party’s account. The reasoning is written down, fair to both sides and ready for the person who questions it 6 months on.
You deal with me directly, from the first call to the final account. Based in Mount Maunganui and on site when it matters, with specialist engineers brought in under the same appointment when a job needs them.
About
I’m a civil engineer with a BEng (Civil) (Hons) and a background that runs from contractor side site engineering, through structural design and verification, to Engineer’s Representative work for NZTA and councils.
BlueWave is deliberately small. Clients get an experienced engineer on their contract, not a name on a tender that hands the work down.

Insights
Practical guides drawn from real contracts, on the issues that cause the most argument.
Most back charges fail on the route through the contract, not the amount. How to test one before it goes into a payment schedule.
7 places a variation price goes wrong, from measured items priced twice to overheads applied on top of overheads.
Why delay is never measured from the instruction. How 3 timelines separate the Principal’s days from the contractor’s.
